Mary C. Hoffman, BSN, MM

Hoffman was former Director of Marketing/Sales Training at Baxter Healthcare Corporation. During her 14 years at Baxter, she spent 6 years directing the development of dialysis markets of the former Eastern European countries and Southeast Asia [commercializing dialysis products]. She was formally responsible for launching and growing markets in Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand specifically growing the peritoneal dialysis market by launching new to the world technologies for home care patients. Upon returning to the domestic markets in 2000, she developed and trained the US sales force in new business processes to grow business in a changing market. She then moved into a corporate marketing position and developed client relationships with senior executives at large hospital organizations and aided strategy formulation and execution to meet mutual business goals. During her tenure the company division grew to over $1 billion in global sales.

In 2003, Ms. Hoffman elected to leverage her 20+ years experience, (domestic and international) in strategic planning, market development and sales, by launching her own company, Marython Associates, Inc. as President and founder. Under this company, Ms. Hoffman provided strategic/business planning, global market development, marketing and sales consulting services to Fortune 100 corporations, start-ups and not-for-profits.

Hoffman is highly regarded within the healthcare industry and noted for her strengths in strategic planning, management facilitation and ability to assess, optimize and execute market opportunities to deliver results.

Aside from successful management of her businesses, Hoffman has served the Chicago community through leadership governing roles working on behalf of several not-for-profit organizations including Leadership Greater Chicago, Hephzibah Children’s Association and the American Diabetes Association. Currently, Hoffman is serving as President of the Board for Alternatives, Inc. a youth services organization on Chicago’s north side. She is also an active member of the American Legion Post 578 and the Wilmette Chamber of Commerce. Ms Hoffman is also an avid runner, completing 15 marathons, including qualifying for the Boston Marathon twice.

Ms. Hoffman received her B.S.N. from St. Louis University, St. Louis, MO and her Masters in Management from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, Evanston, IL.
